The Agony And The Ecstasy of The DMV

Here I stand at the DMV,
And I must say it’s a sight to see,
That under the sickly glow of fluorescent light,
All people of the world unite.

To create a lovely vision,
Of every world, class and religion,
Ages range from young to old,
As if a rainbow might unfold.

And though a sense of community could be thriving,
Based on this common skill of driving,
The bond that holds us here is this,
We’re all completely fuckinโ€™ pissed.

  1. DMV is hell, but Beetlejuice rocks. My state has stopped issued reminders for drivers license renewals. So, when people get tagged for not renewing, they’re double pissed when waiting the the forever line at the DMV.

      • ๐Ÿ™‚ You are awesome. Actually I haven’t had a bad experience at the BMV….but I only wanted to type that because it rhymed. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think it is always more about….if I get ten minutes to sit and wait….I love it whether I’m at the BMV or in my car in the parking lot. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. set this to a beat–which I know you can!–and call it RUN DMV…;) This is the biggest kick in the butt poem I’ve read…well maybe ever! So quirky fun and what a win–to reap a rhyme from a waste of time…

    the line translated into lines…

and an aside: who is it that applies to work as a DMV guru, I wonder? Anybuddy? Anybuddy? (ferris…;)
